Do you want to do your bit too, to create awareness around the rhino issue? Why not support our rhinos loudly and proudly by wearing a rhino mask to the next dress-up party? Show you care as much as we do about these awesome animals!
What you will need:
What to do:
Print out the template of the rhino face below. You may need to adjust it to make it bigger or smaller. Get an adult to help you! If you don't have a printer, you can always try and redraw it onto a piece of paper, or even directly onto a piece of cardboard or paper plate.
Cut out the template and use some glue to paste it onto a piece of cardboard (if you haven't drawn it onto cardboard already). A piece of empty cereal box or paper plate works well!
Cut the blacks of the eyes out so that you can see where you are going when you wear the mask. You don't want to bump into anything!
Now cut small holes on either side of the face.
Cut two long pieces of string and knot a piece around each hole on either side of the mask.
Cut holes for the horns. Horn A (on the template) is the right size, but Horn B you will have to draw twice as big.
After you've cut out the horns, fold out the edges so that you can paste them into place.
Once you place the mask on your face, tie the two loose ends of the string together at the back of your head. There you go! You now look like a magnificent rhino!
Tip: If you fold the ears a little, it will make your mask look a bit more realistic.
Tip: Why not paint your mask? Then you can choose which species of rhino you want to be!
